The tiramisu cake I made last Christmas will always hold a special place in my heart...

Genoise sponge soaked in amaretto layered with salted caramel, chocolate ganache and a vanilla and mascarpone whipped cream...

Any that is home made, preferably by me.

Shop bought are mostly full of cheap ingredients and preservatives.

My favourite is Passion Cake, which is a kind of carrot cake with cream cheese frosting

Edinburgh (She/Her)

A rich moist fruit cake iced and with marzipan.

The explosion of dense fruits on the tongue teams with the rich almond favouring of the marzipan topped of with the high of the icing.

Loved it ever since I was a small child.. Aunties Christmas cake back in 70s started my off.

I've had thoughts of trying out for the bake off. I don't think they would accept a dominatrix on the show..

Hot Chocolate Fudge Cake - heated until the fudge is just melting and the sponge is warm enough to just start melting the dollop of whipped double cream you have smattered on top.

With a scoop of white vanilla ice cream on the side.

I second this. I often make brownies with doves farm as I think they're even nicer than regular ones and everyone is always surprised to find out they are GF.
