Love for a best friend....

Have you ever had it?

How did you get over it? If you have!

Sorry if it's been covered before.

Recently…had a friend for five years.

Caught feelings….then found out she did too

Took my shot…it didn’t hit the target.

It's not. Especially as I need to walk away but she needs my support with import stuff. It's hard.

I still love an ex girlfriend so much that I’m happy she’s appears happy married to someone else. I had my chance and ruined it, so she deserves to be happy.

But if she ever needed me

Was in love with someone, didn't have any confidence in myself and lost out badly.

Yes it's hard isn't it.

I kind of wish there was a switch to press....

So how have people gotten over it?

Though I suspect from the responses most of us haven't......

Yup. He was separated from his wife for a long time but we both caught feelings then she decided she wanted another go and he felt it his duty to try and save the marriage which I respect. He admitted he still loves her. Hurts no less though.

Very often ppl tend to forget how difficult it is for the rejector too.

It is not easy to tell someone that you don’t love her/him back.

Especially in a society that glorifies love and sees it as the ultimate goal to achieve complete satisfaction.

Yes, but I loved him enough to let him go.

We're still friends and he has a gorgeous little boy and a stunning fiance....He's happy and that means the world to me
