Just had a message from someone who states they have just come back from the island of Spain. Now, I didn't pay much attention in geography but I'm pretty sure that when I was at school, Spain was a country?

Not one to muddy the waters but im pretty sure islands can also be countries lol . I think the point is Spain is not an island. duh

It has been called the peninsula though (as in the 19th C Napoleonic wars many battles were fought on the Spanish and Portuguese peninsula

It's not been on the news so I'm guessing Spain hasn't fallen off the continent of Europe and floated into the med., Might have meant Spanish islands ..

these smart phones autocorrect just when you don't want them to. .. maybe .??
