"I'm rubbish at taking any kind of supplements - I buy them all with good intentions, then they sit around. I go in fits and starts with them. I'm already better thanks to other changes but I want to do sort of a wraparound care for myself and give it a kick from inside too if it makes sense ? "Have you seen vitamin gummies? They seem a bit nicer than swallowing tablets. Best is of course always natural sources, so for vitamin D it's sunshine, eggs & oily fish, for example." Im trying! I can be a bad eater at times when I get caught up with life and thanks for the gummies tip. Between us.. I used to steal sometimes my kiddos vitamins. So much nicer.

"I’ve only ever taken anything to combat a deficiency which is generally vitamin D in the winter months. I can be low in other things if I’ve just given blood but that generally rights itself " Yeah I guess you need this one sure living in the UK. My bloods and urine are just fine. I'm pretty healthy like that.

I always was on meds which stopped me or breastfeeding intensely or other excuses! I'll look into it again.

"I take a multi vitamin tablet and a vitamin C tab drink every morning. I don't really get poorly and my mental health is generally good. I doubt it's linked. I started on the marina coil in January and had a roller coaster emotional 4 months and am still more emotional than I was before when I had none hormonal contraception. Slight tangent I realise. Same timescale but the coil has been amazing for me generally!

I've always avoided hormonal contraception but thought I'd give it a whirl in the hope of eliminating my periods. That hasn't happened anyway so there's no real plus...

I think at the moment getting to speak to a doctor is well nigh impossible and if you do they can't do non urgent blood tests because there are no containers for the blood.

"Probiotics are important. Both for gut health, which then impacts brain health. B-complex, which provides more than kjust B-12 (obv) but had lots of important vitamins, especially for women. Evening primrose for hormone balance. Glucosamine because I’m old. Calcium magnesium, essential for everyone. Vitamin D (also essential imo) Just a few " I feel like I'm good with calcium intake in my diet so might miss that out. What's glucosamine for ? You aren't old silly

I tried to sort it with diet though, but i probably wasnt that successful. That was a few years ago. Recently a friend bought loads and gave me a box to try and i feel like i have more energy. I wish i had taken the doctors offer of tablets when they were first offered tbh especially as my diet is pretty poor. If you have slightly high blood pressure L-Arginine is a good one for that

Keeps connective tissue like ligaments and tendons strong which is essential in keeping joints strong. Helps with skin especially as you get older. You can get it through food but I chose to supplement. The only reason is that I'm a competitive bodybuilder on prep so my calories are very low. I take all the others I mentioned but I take other stuff like creatine, cyclic dextrin, greens and melatonin etc but those are more for bodybuilding purposes not everyday stuff.
