Now having spoken to a beautiful soul from here today and it’s clear they were having a bad day. So much so that reliving it brought them to tears… I believe a good cry is good for the soul and also good to release pressures… so come on ladies and gents… when was your last good cry… don’t have to say what it was about but I’m trying to show that people cry.. sometimes more than they let on

I spent years repressing years, after being shamed for it, now I cry all the time, and it’s so much better.

Tears are a physical thing, if they don’t come ourt, they go inside instead.

Set them freeeeeee!

Good on you for listening and being a friend.

For me it was couple of months ago when I couldn't get a routine doctor's appointment. The stress and frustration just really got to me and burst out crying.

I'm not sure I would describe it as a positive release though. I felt awful that I put the poor lady on the end of the phone under pressure.

I don’t cry often but when i do it's pretty epic, I had a good happy cry at our friend's wedding on Saturday day time, then a good cry through sadness also at wedding due to hearing sad news.

I believe it does you good to let it all out.

Ok the red eyes and streaming snot isn't a look we can see all pull off well but I've nailed it!

Saturday... I was in pain with my eye. I had a cyst on the top eyelid which eventually cleared. But, Saturday (day 8) I was a few days in to a stye on the bottom eyelid which had turned into an abscess. Its was bloody painful and I had spent all day in urgent care and then a London hospital and was told to go back the following day. I couldn't sleep with the pain, got out of bed and left my man sleeping, (he'd been with me all day at hospitals etc) and sat on the sofa and just cried.

On Sunday I cried again a little while the hospital dealt with my abcess because the pain was horrid.

Felt fine after that. Call me a wimp I dont mind.

Last time I cried for a emotional reason or stress one I don't recall. I'm the type of person that will not cry if I can dam well help it in front of others. I'd usually cry while in the shower out of sight but it does definitely help to let it out.

Had a stent put into my heart a few months ago. Prior to the operation that has a 95% success rate (feel sorry for the 5% ) I was quite confident that I’d cope.

During the operation I was desperately keeping it together, concentrating on keeping my composure.

Afterwards I desperately wanted a sob, I was really struggling to keep the tears from falling. But a nurse was having to do a few things, connect ECG etc..and I couldn’t have any privacy.

I did cry but it was internal

I can go months without crying then something will set me off, usually seeing those I care about in pain or upset, anything to do with children or elderly family members who are perhaps going through a period of change or loneliness gets me in the gut.

I’ve a big heart and often cry through being proud of others achievements, seeing people I love be loved or milestones my little nephews achieve those little buggers pull on my heart strings.

I cry more happy tears than sad ones xx

I properly cried a few months ago when I buried my late sister. Seemed that several years of pent-up emotion came tumbling out.

I’ve welled up a lot recently- happily - with pride, as I’ve seen both my children cope with some challenging times and achieve some great things of late.

(I got friend-zoned earlier. That made me sad too, but I didn’t cry)

Yesterday, I cried for ages. My bestie died unexpectedly a few years ago, and his son (and one of my closest friends) chose to join his dad on his first anniversary. His brothers wife messaged me to send me pics and let me know that they are now together in a plot. I’ve been through their funerals, inquests, but the finality of their names on memorial plaques made it all so horribly real. But it’s also something positive, as people who cared for them, but couldn’t attend their funerals, now have somewhere to go to pay their last respects to them x

I cried yesterday after learning Norm Macdonald had passes. Obviously I didn’t know him and it rather surprised me that I ended up crying really. As I get older, I seem to cry more often, especially at things I wouldn’t expect to. The Archers (I know!!) is another thing that sometimes makes me cry, and not always out of sadness really.

Regularly, both in sadness and in happiness. That Davina programme "Long lost relative" is a good one for triggering me. Stuff like "Children in Need", "SU2C" etc gets me every time as well.

Most recent? Not sure... but watching some of the 9/11 programmes this week I would guess.

Exactly! I induced it by tapping some memories I wish not to revisit really and lots of sad music. It worked a treat but I felt that sense of I need to cry and can’t for days. It just needed to happen (thats why I had a very long cry)
