Left field news today that Rick Astley is to go on tour performing a whole set of songs by The Smiths.

What other musical collaborations have been, or could be, amazing, amusing or appalling ?

A heavenly one: Run DMC and Aerosmith. Broke down a lot of preconceptions for rap and rock fans, I think.

Rick Astley has actually performed Never Gonna Give You Up with The Foo Fighters and the result is pretty good.

We can’t post links on here but Google Rick Astley Foo Fighters.

As a massive fan of both it was like musical porn for me.

Not sure about choir boy Rick walking on stage and shouting "what's up motherfuckers?" to the crowd though... just didn't sound right.

Missin’ Yo’ Kissin’

Britney Spears & Eminem - You can see a "Woops I Did It Again" to a "Slim Shady."

I think it's quite good!

I also saw Post Malone with Ozzy Osbourne on Youtube. It's not bad.

I have seen Alice Cooper live. When they played schools out towards the end of the song the band carried on playing schools out but Alice sang another brick in the wall by Pink Floyd which worked really well.
