Problem now is that porn is so common place and easy to access people think that it's the norm. To me a lot of mainstream porn from the industry is staged, awkward (I’m sorry but some of the positions they do to get camera angles just look uncomfortable) and over the top. There are exceptions, but I find it less and less of a turn on. There’s no chemistry, no realism. It’s boring.

As has also been pointed out, it creates an unrealistic understanding of sex amongst some people, particularly young men, which causes problems when they try to have sex for real.

Amateur content, made and edited by the people themselves, is the way forward. People who have a genuine connection and who are properly into it, not four hours into an all-day shoot and only able to fuck because they’ve being pumped full of viagra and then had a gallon of lube added.

Porn is nothing like real sex it is fakery to the highest order. Nothing about porn is genuine, even the sounds are dubbed.

Better practices and ethics are better practices and ethics. Although I recognised porn generally has improved broadly over the industry not a all porn is equal in terms of ethics and direction. And there is still a lot of dodginess and bad practices going around. It's like fair trade products and non fair trade products yes part incentivised by offering a different product that some people (and maybe new markets) like but doesn't negate what is being offered is better. It's disingenuous to just palm it off as an up sell.
