Tinder is much better for single guys as the dynamic and set up just works better for us. I get more meets in 1-2 months from tinder than years on here, and that’s couples too

Fabs is great for the forum, but I rarely message now as it’s almost pointless.

But my honest opinion is that these swiping apps have commodified hooking up, which is damaging to both men and women. We can’t do anything about that because it’s a free country, but it’s important to attest realise the harm they are doing

I’d disagree. Most people use tinder for what they want, hookups, dating, both

Things like Cupid and Pof seem to be reserved for older single mums. Never had success on either of them, but from swiping apps I’ve had plenty of hookups, plenty of long term fwb and plenty of relationships, the longest lasting 4 years

The apps are what you make of them and they have the biggest user bases too

I mean yes, you can use fab to date, obviously … and tinder, but you have to see the wide demographic and if 90% want to shag. It becomes a hook up app mainly, then you may be lucky and find the love of your life… of course. But generally it might not be the best of places to look for that… my opinion x

It's much easier to find casual sex and one night stands in my local pub than it is on here.

I tested that theory and turned off my message filters to let anyone message me a couple of weeks ago. No offence to you chaps, as we’re all on here for the same thing, but bloodyhell my the looked at me count just for a day was over 2000 and my message box selfignited, I couldn’t keep up!

Hats off to all the women looking for men out there!

I can see why it takes you so long to answer messages now, over 100 of them were sent to me in 3 hours. I had to turn the filters back on after 2 days, too many dick pics for me!

It's true about being a woman. My experience on any site as a less-than-average looking woman will be very different to an average bloke.

Mind you, I've just been chatting to a mate about it and I think a similar thing holds true in real life too. If I was looking for a one night stand I could find one in a pub or a bar with no trouble (I've pulled in a supermarket before now).

A perception of sexual availability in a woman trumps other attractions for a guy who is only concerned with getting his end away!

Very true, but I've been lucky enough to find that on occasion here so I always hold out hope!

Zero luck on either! Not that I've been able to access Tinder for 6 months as I Put wrong DOB in when logging in when pissed and now they're saying I'm underage!

No way of fixing it either.

Both work for me, but I would say tinder is easier because of the matching system, it allows targeted effort rather than random effort, and you know if someone likes what they have seen and read purely by the virtue of been matched.

Used tinder for a very short time and had a few meets but I didn't really like it, couldn't put my finger on why. Don't no if it was the swiping or impersonal feel of it but i did find it was way easier as a guy to get meets.

On here I enjoy chatting to like minded people and there is decent banter at times on the forums. Still to get my ass verified tho and a couple of meets cancelling last minute hasn't helped

If your looking for guys to join in make it as a female profile, if your looking for girl then make it a female profile.

Tinder works fabulously for a male. Women are generally younger and more open once you match. The swiping makes sense - what's the point of writing thoughtful messages everyone demands, but then you don't get a reply because they decide they don't like the looks of you? Tinder solves that problem.

Which is shit for guys/gals who genuinely want to settle down. I'd love a relationship & to have kids but it's getting increasingly more difficult as I feel women are giving up due to the oversexualised (not sure if that's the right term) nature of a lot of sites. If guys give them the whole spiel about wanting to date and are looking for a quick fuck and go I think they just give up after a while.

It would be nice if sites could stick to individually catering for date/fuck/swing to avoid this but unfortunately it'll never happen.

The one nice thing about Tinder is not getting abusive messages from randoms. Women tend to also post more “this is who I am” photos which is cool.

As long as you are honest in what you are looking for then it’s all good. If you only eat in one restaurant, you will soon get bored of the menu…….

As you can see I have face pics here, another forum post said I should put dick pics on here? I don’t have a problem with that but I’ve received about 50 messages over the weekend from guys wanting to suck my dick although my bio says that I won’t entertain messages of that kind as I’m straight. I got a fair amount of attention on Tinder but I was actually looking to date and wanted a relationship, all I found was guys wanting sex. Joined here when I had no interest in a relationship and found guys wanting more than one offs. Worked out great in the end but all very confusing at the time

Tinder has been worthless for me.

I've been on it since 2015. I had a paid account for two years. I haven't had a single meet, and not even any matches since 2018.

Recently they decided I'm under eighteen, and have locked my account unless I send them my passport details. I'm 39, for fuck's sake.

So yeah: Waste of time and money. The only dating site I've ever had any luck with was OkCupid.
