Whitley Bay

I need hive mind ideas. I want to buy an F1 experience race track experience for my partners birthday. Or a super cars experience.

I've looked online and there's so much to choose from, I'm bamboozled!

Has anyone done it and had a great experience? If so, where

Looking for good track, good staff, good cars and good deal/time for the money.

Thank you!

Do you want it local or do you want to wrap it up as part of a holiday?

If its the latter, you can get a number of driving experiences at the Abu Dhabi f1 track which are amazing. Done a few of them. The cars are F3000 grade and fast (yes, I spun out a few times)..

I've done track days in sports, rally and single seaters, I even spent a week at the Jim Russell race school, all were good fun. The one I would love to do again is hiring an Aston Martin for the weekend. The track days are great but you're never allowed to really push it, which kind of negates the point of them. Don't get me wrong, you can learn a great deal, but I always felt a bit short changed. With the hire car you can go where you like, a nice weekend away may be. Yeah, you don't get to go on a track and blast it, but I found the whole experience much better and not to dissimilar in price. With a lot more time actually in the car. Just my experience, it may help you, it may not.

We bought a supercar experience day for one of our friends for his 50th.

You get to choose 3 from about a dozen cars.

His was at Silverstone and he chose an R8 a Lambourghini and an Aston Martin.

He said is was a great day out.

Money well spent.
