"scone, jam and clotted cream at the ready... nom nom! "

When is a Devon cream tea being featured in the Closing Ceremony? I would have thought the cream would not do well at a Festival of the Flame.

Although, some clotted cream with the hunky soldier might be a good idea.

I have finally decided whatever they do with the stadium they have to keep it as an athletic/sports/music venue......

was it just me who shouted... no... when they handed over the flag...

i support it means the olympics/paralympics is over...

can't we just invent a competition and have one next summer......

An e-petition with enough signatures and they will have to debate it in parliament.

I don't want it to be over but I do like the idea of Brazil having a national vocation of joy.

Now, will the Paralympics lead to people seeing the person and not the impairment? Will we stop staring and asking if he takes sugar?

"will the Paralympics lead to people seeing the person and not the impairment? Will we stop staring and asking if he takes sugar?"

It will have opened some peoples eyes, but give it a couple of weeks and it will all be forgotten until 2016. It might just might have a small influence on the ones that saw it..remember many fewer people in the UK watched it. My daughter and her friends watched a lot of the Olympics..they watched very little of the Paras. She was watching Sebrina The Teenage Witch instead of the weirwolf yesterday morning and she is 25 and a teacher. Few people see the person , the majority will still see the impairment.

I didn't think they were still making Sabrina the Teenage Witch now that she's 30 something.

I hope some people will have changed their attitudes but I won't stop working for equalities.

I hope that it will have influenced some - I just think many of the watchers were already disabled friendly.
