Laser hair removal

Has anyone here had it done? I'm especially interested in hearing from those who've used vouchers.

I'm considering it, but these Groupon/Wowcher prices just seem to good to be true, there has to be catch

Those Groupons only do one area; you ideally need much more than one session to fully get rid, depending on how dark/thick the hair is and, of course, the area being treated.

You’re better off going to someone more experienced and professional, and paying the money for it to be done properly IMO xx

There was a thread a few weeks ago where it was debated. Personally, I have no experience with it but from what was said, it doesn't work as well for blondes so I guess I should stick to shaving.

Advice i've seen is electrolysis hair removal is the pemanent removeal. Now it takes a number of sessions, can require low local anaesthetic but kills the hair and then removes it.

IPL is the next and uses bright light to put the hair to sleep. Some hair can fall out at this point, but most will re-grow so it needs to be maintained. Think it's once a month for ladies, more for men. This method isn't effective on some skin / hair colour combinations and some parts of the body where hair is tougher / denser. My home machine has a guide of 6-12 weeks to get working for ladies.

With all of the above will require shaving until they tke effect or the area is completely cleared of hair as i understand it. But if you want the best advice, contact a local reputable clinic and ask there, you'll likely need a consultation clinic which costs, but may save you a tonne later in terms of not going after ineffective treatment.
