But she just beat a player that had herself beaten 3x top 5 ranked (globally) players on the way to that match. This is Emma's second only Grand Slam. Ever. And she had to qualify. And she won without dropping a single set. 10 matches. In three weeks. Premier League footballers cannot put that kind of physicality in before their managers start whining about over-working. Being ranked #23 now is only because of the way rankings are scored. She was outside the top 300 when 2021 started. If we based it on performances in 2021 only? She would be top 3 at minimum. | |||
