So many different types, feels, sounds...who's your favourite soul singer?

Somethings James had to say? Isaac Hayes? Aretha? Barry White? Awb? Marvin? Caron Wheeler?

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Aretha or Dionne, Stevie or Bill, probably as my first port of call.

Different moods I could end up with Nat or Percy before I listen to anything else.

Marvin is a whole mood on his own.

Funny isn't it? When you stop and think how many awesome voices and feelings there are? I'd forgotten about Bill withers... Curtis Mayfield even

Soul music is possibly the nearest thing I have to a religion and I could fill this thread with my favourites ! So just a few maybe lesser known ones.

James Carr

Irma Thomas

Donny Hathaway

Brenda Holloway
