Sounds an amazing idea if you want you tax and national insurance to keep increasing, and every business to go bust

How about those that didn't get it this time - healthcare workers, supermarket workers, delivery drivers etc etc - all take theirs next year and everyone else can support them for a change?

Na we'll make corporations pay for it. Plus put a robin hood tax on financial transactions on the stockmarket.

How about those people that still have a job be grateful for it.

My 3 son's and my eldest daughter all worked through the pandemic/lockdowns.

Except for one was on furlough for 3 weeks and that was only because his colleagues have mortgages and needed full wages more

Furlough is not a way of life.

The companies would ultimately no give pay increases or bonuses to pay for it

People shouldn't have to be grateful for having a job.

If I got the same perks as thise at my place (office staff) who went on furlough then hell yeah!

They were better off than those of us who had to go to work each day where we got pay cuts, pension raided, 2 weeks forced unpaid leave and many got made redundant.

Furlough worked out great for some while others got treated like crap by a lot of companies including a few blue chip ones.
