Friends.... ish

Sorry... it a long one.....So me (mr) and the better half are what I would refer to as Part time. We join in with the scene every 6-12 months by going to a club in the spur of the moment and we're not looking for it to take over our lives and have no plans to meet to swop in the future (but we never say never,The mood might take us.) We have great mates but I feel like we can not be ourselves around them sometimes especially after a few beers if we talk about sex or get frisky dancing, the look and comments if my wife just dances with another bloke drives me mad. Do any other couple on here just do social meets with no expectations other than finding new friends? And have other had a similar experience? We love a beer, a dance and a silly time when we are out.. life's too short not to.

Not as a couple, but get where you are coming from. The real world isnt quite ready for openess yet so you're always hiding a part away... And while not looking for every convo to be about sex, it's biting the tongue when a risque joke could be made or the like.

Its one thing about our social life that drives me mad. If the Mrs want to dance with a bloke and I'm not bothered who carse but her mate look at her like she's trying to bed them. I know she's sexy and likes a bit of attention but it's not even about sex it just having fun. I get to a point where I can be arsed and we have a better time the two of us.

That sucks. And is on the tamer end of the scale right? It's just flirting. That feels like it's the mates jealousy rather than a judgement. It's up to you folks if that's cool or not. And if it's cool if things go further .... Bloody real people !!

Can she not control herself around people that you know? 'She's a slut and you're an idiot for letting her flirt with other men'.... is no doubt what they'll be thinking and/or saying.

I'd suggest going out where you don't know anyone and you can have fun and be yourselves without having to worry about the gossip.

We do and we have fun, I'm sorry probably not realy made my point clear. I was more asking if any couples on here are more looking for relaxed fun socials or is the expectation to alway have extra fun.

We are very interested in social meets just to be friends. The problem is that 99% of people who insist that is what they want too often add "and maybe more" after a few messages. Of course we meet "meet" but we would also like friends who aren't going to pass out if we discuss sex or get a fit of the vapours if I flirt with their husband.

We're not so much a drinking and dancing couple though.

Thanks and good luck too. Do you think the "and maybe more" thing is put as an expectation or as a "incase". 8 get people could click and stuff can maybe happen but we would just want the let's see if we can be good mates angle.

once again I'm probably not been clear she's not hanging off a bloke, slut dropping, just dancing, smiling and having fun. I dont even see it as sexual.

Its put in as an expectation I reckon. If we just want to enjoy an evening with people, maybe a meal, a couple of drinks possibly, we don't want to always have in the back of our mind that there might be awkward questions to answer later. Of course somewhere down the line we might all change our minds but if it's been clearly stated that you'll be moving forward on a friends only basis why even mention it?

We make our intentions clear to everyone we meet and as I said the majority are "maybe more' meets
