I think It’s a comfort thing like a small child sucking it’s thumb. It’s when grown men also do it whilst talking to you. Then I ask them if are they wanking over me? They soon realise what they’re doing and sometimes stop.

I seem to recall someone mentioning it starting off in prison where they are not allowed trousers with pockets, so they use to stick their hands down their trousers to keep warm. Then once they for out of prison carried on with the practice, others then picking up on it as a gangster type imagine.

Same with no belts and jeans half way down their ass Belts not allowed in prison so it was a signal of them being a badass
