Often read comments like this or similar this in a profile status.

Are the people writing this hoping for to attract sympathy messages and meets ?

Often the profile itself pretty basic and requires others to be proactive.

Me personally, these messages put me off, as a negative person puts me off.

Would love to hear how others react. If your one of the people who have posted this type of status message, did you have any reaction positive or negative..?

I personally like the Status Updates.. "I am leaving now?".. ok bye!!!

They want us to say 'please stay, we love you'.

They’re not sympathy, I feel their often from people who don’t understand the power dynamics present on this site. It’s their way of venting the frustration.

For single guys fabs is about 1000x harder than any other method out there of getting laid. Most guys don’t realise that.

I tend to ignore these updates. Yes, it's tough getting meets and even tougher finding people you have a connection with. That applies to us single women as well as the men. I've had my fair share of meets who haven't turned up, has it put me off? No, but then I'm a cockeyed optimist. Anyway it says more about them than me.

What makes me laugh are those that constantly post negative updates, but don't actually leave!

Some people need to vent their frustration I guess. Which is fair enough imo. I've not been active on here for long (had an account I just never used) and one thing which I've noticed is how guys will talk on here in ways they never would in person. Makez me wonder if poor communication skills are their biggest hurdle.

I think most people just want a quick shag in reality, I prefer the more social aspect, get to know a couple or person and then play safely. So waiting and peaking someone’s interest is the fun for me.

I find it odd when people say that.

I get frustrated sometimes, but I accept it is what it is, I accept I am not going to be everyone's cup of tea, people will accept me for who I am or not as the case may be. My profile isn't a work of art, but it's honest, as are my pics.

It doesn't stop me enjoying the site as you only get out what you put in.

Exactly. I reckon those posting these statuses are spending their time blasting out the same "hi, how are you?" DM's and expecting results.

But the "I'm bored" statuses are even worse because then I know we have zero in common

Why not spend that spare time improving their profile and interacting on the forums?

Could de what they are doing? Understandable why they think that when the ratio of active women to active guys on fab is like 26 to 1 in the bigger cities.

They need to figure out ways to stand out as a needle in a stack of needles.

Free promotion on a forum is a way to do that… i guess

Totally agree. The amount of fancy a fuck type messages we get is silly. You can message 100 people that message and if you get one meet, you have done well.

Guys just need to be respectful and actually read the profile and not just assume we are meeting you because we responded to 2 messages.
