I've only had my car for a month, went to it today and its been keyed all the way along the passenger side right down to the metal.

Heartbroken, livid and just left wondering why?

Nothing flash, just a Ford Focus, took a year searching for it though.

It's worth asking people living in the vicinity of where your car was damaged if they have CCTV or internet recording systems e.g. Ring and, if so, if they can run through the recordings in an attempt to find the DTG of the incident and any details of the POS that infkicted the damage.

Additionally, report it to the police via 101. It's unlikely that they will do anything but when people key cars it's usually as part of a pattern of behaviour (i.e. anti-fucking social) and hopefully they'll get caught in the act (at which point the police pull out all the other cases of car damage in that particular location).

I've spoken with the Police, its happened quite a few times in my town over the past two weeks. There is an investigation ongoing, I have a crime number and someone will come and take photos/statement on Thursday.

I will visit my neighbor's tomorrow after work so I think ive covered as much as I can.

I wouldn't normally air problems to the forum, but this has really pissed me off
