We're the same. This site works perfectly well for chat.

We never use WhatsApp as it saves giving numbers out and being hassled. At least with here we can log out when we want a break and not have the annoyance of blocking numbers etc.

We have Kik accounts but rarely use them either.

I'm not so worried about using WhatsApp as I take the view that I can always block if need be, but I'm also sensitive to the concerns of others. That said, I think guys are probably way more likely to be a nuisance on messaging than women, so I can see why a lady wouldn't necessarily want to give out her number to chat on WhatsApp. Kik is bloody awful as an app. Telegram or Signal are better imho. You can actually reply to specific messages.

We're fine chatting through here, until we are seriously considering arranging a meet, then we like to take it to a phonecall, and WhatsApp too.

Once we've established something could possibly grow from messaging online to real life.

WhatsApp means we don't have to log in here to message or receive messages, it saves the barrage of messages because we're showing online and saves people wondering why we've not yet read their message when we've been online.

If our focus is on one at the time.

It means we can feel comfortable publicly sending and receiving messages via WhatsApp, rather than logging in here.

We have a spare/swing/play phone so we don't have to give out our personal numbers, means we can leave it off when needed.

We keep all chat here at first then use Whatsapp only if/when we're arranging to meet.

We'd advise people never to never use their own private numbers for this purpose though. It's far safe to use a cheap PAYG dedicated 'swingphone' or have a separate PAYG SIM in a dual sim phone.

I don’t think you can win - some people want to move to WhatsApp or kik for proof, and if you do ask, some people get offended that you asked. Personally I’m happy chatting on here, and will only give out personal details to ones I’m comfortable with. Not that I have loads of admirers….just saying this as a rule of thumb

As Fab doesn't have push notifications, and you can't distinguish individual chat with couples, we find it hard to have spontaneous conversations on here.

If we're friends, or want to take things that way, we chat on Telegram, for privacy.

Stick to Fab for messaging unless we know somebody in which case we will go to WhatsApp to chat. If we are arranging a meet with somebody new and they want to move off fab then we will happily use kik or telegram as neither require us to give out our phone number.

The trouble with whatsapp (and I use it very sparingly for Fabs) is that there seems to be an expectation that it means chatting (a lot) and I do not have the time or inclination tbh to flirt etc on Whatsapp when I am busy working, making dinner, going to the gym or doing other "busy" "me-time"stuff. It actually becomes a nuisance then.

I start in here if I get messages lol. I find though , unless you keep refreshing app. New messages do not show. Like today , replied to couple messages. I was then reading a long forum thread. No update on message , still black. Then went back etc. New message . Asking for some info. Replied but saw profile gone offline. Perhaps profile checked my message not read etc. So gave up ?

I will chat here for along as possible, you started here so the chat history is here, if we are getting on and chatting quick then I would suggest we move to an app with notifications but not WhatsApp since it can be traced back to a real name, I got a burner sim but still prefer to use apps like Kik or Telegram.

It’s all down to personal choice at the end of the day, if your back and forward it can be slow on here and get mixed up with other messages if you get loads everyday
