That, is the million dollar question.

All depends on where you get it from. In England, I've never known a single place to do a good gravy chip, so I stick to Curry. But if I'm back home in Ireland, it's Gravy all the way baby

Salt and "non brewed condiment" (see episode of QI they discuss this).

Then equally happy with either gravy or curry (as long as it doesn't have raisins in it).

I'd be lying if I'd said I had gravy and curry sauce together, so the ketchup still stands.

I prefer gravy on my roasties but that's a totally different kettle of fish n chips.
