I've been on and off here for a good few years now. Compared to other years, the past few weeks has been the absolute worst for catfish/fake profiles.. Has something changed or am I just the unlucky son of a bitch that attracts them all. I report them because they way they talk is quite obviously not right... and the profile gets dealt with. I'm not bashing the site itself. But God damn they're out in numbers.. Anyone else?

I just don't understand the reasoning for it! I found out a couple of weeks back I've been catfished since I joined by someone from my past. Still have no idea what the agenda was!

I haven't noticed any increase but I guess the catfish on an adult site, might target men & couples more.

No. 100%. Same as me saying "bloody hell". Had a few pass out laughing at that. I tried to make it my own and it didn't go to plan..... At all.

I don't know either. In the back of you're mind like, you know that something ain't right as you're talking to em. I just get that itchy feeling and I'm out. Straight up. Report that son of a bitch.

I agree with you Op. I've been on and off the site for a while and recently the catfishing is terrible.

I find it tends to be a couples profile that is blatantly just a man or a man pretending to be straight trying to chat then instantly sending friend requests so they can perv on my photos.

For the love of God why not just have a gay profile and be done with it. Look for gay men to have fun with rather than pester straight guys it's hard enough for us at it is lol

I have always had a chunk of men pretending to be couples or single women but I generally find them easy to spot.....

Although oddly when I am in the United States I see no fakes although I am sure they still exist!!

I found that they change their name but use the same photos or they have no photos at all but I now look at profiles harder and remember if it the same text used before

I got catfished for over a year, never met but spoke on the phone a lot. Felt stupid when I found out.

These are lonely people, doing this sort of thing, which affects peoples mental health....
