Who should get what?

I don't really understand the whole OBE MBE thing ... only that they Olympic and Paralympic competitors deserve SOMETHING and are true true celebrities ... infact they are super celebrities and a fine example of humanity .... that and they all so healthy and horny

Their not celebrities, they are the dickheads who roll out of clubs at stupid o clock smashed, who use their 'fame' to shag whatever they want an then complain that they have got a hard life!!

Any of the olympians are athletes, plain an simple, but the fact they have reached the high of an olympics means that they are at the top of their game. Hero's no, role models yes.

It's not yet clear whether this will be for this year only. There is a cap on the number of sports people that can get honoured. They are using the perogative of being able to create special awards category which will be only for sports people this year.

I think it is partly because there is no way any of the Committee would want to have to say 'well, we could only Knight one of them and so we tossed a coin between Wiggins and Farah and couldn't even consider the Paralympians'.

There were some special awards this year in the Birthday List as it was the Jubilee.
