Practice - fingers or a toy if you haven’t already so you know your own body.

Cleanliness - plenty of fibre in your diet and douche beforehand, I couldn’t fully relax unless I am sure I am clean.

Lube - use enough and then add some more.

Play with yourself in advance, make sure you’re really aroused and relaxed and if you can get them to rim and finger your first even better.

Make sure you’ve douched and relieved yourself beforehand. Also I find it easier to push against the guy (or strap on) as it helps open the sphincter up a bit more. Don’t use numbing gel as the pain is a good indicator if you’re not ready yet

Well the most important thing is to enjoy it but I echo what most people here say, lube and cleanliness are very important. I assume you’ve never had anything up there at all yet then?
