Out of interest, has anyone recently applied for a passport? How long did it take? Was it a first application or a renewal?

I did a renewal for myself, it took about 8 days. Did my daughters 1st passport which was a adults passport, that took about 3 weeks as she needed a interview

We've got a little backlog, OP. But we're still getting the majority done within 10 working days, or so. Renewals, are usually no problem. X

Did my renewal online at the end of July, took three weeks.

Applied for my son’s provisional driving licence in March. He had to declare a disability and provide medical details, we’re still waiting to hear back!

Mine was a passport renewal, not driving licence btw
