I like both, but it’s important to separate tea drinking and coffee drinking. Ok to have coffee after tea, but not the other way around.

So far today I have had 2 of each.

"And what about hot chocolate "

Good point. Hot chocolate trumps both tea and coffee, but not an everyday or five times a day drink like tea and coffee are.

I don’t have hot chocolate often, but when I do, I go for the good stuff

Hot chocolate only applies in extenuating circumstances

Yes. Like when you are out somewhere that does really good hot chocolate, or when you are at home and have run out of tea and coffee.

This begs the question, do you go full on with the hot chocolate, whipped cream, marshmallows etc ?

Coffee is only better than tea because it makes me feel marginally less stabby in the morning. Otherwise they're equally lovely.

I'll never agree that tea is better though. I realise it's a weird hill to die on but I am prepared to.

If you believe the adverts it'll make you smile. Don't believe the adverts: it's far more likely to make you gag.

What if the tea is green tea and tastes like pond water?

I can drink any tea or fruit tea or herbal infusion or tisane, but green tea makes my tongue feel funny. There's no killing that flavour.

Personally? No. I want to enjoy the hot chocolate itself, not turn it into a kid’s tea-party
