Yup. Tesla are changing the world when you look deeply enough into the company, but the cars are lightning (to use a pun)

Shame they didn't spend some money in the design department! They may be fast but would you want to be seen in one? Bloody ugly things! Designed by someone in Korea maybe??

Agreed. For me it the greatest weakness in their business model. The head of design is actually French, but you’re not alone, many say it and I hope one day they will listen. Roadster and Model S plaid look decent IMO, just the 3, X and Y which need renovation.

Maybe they should poach Audi's designer as the electric sports saloon they make is damn sexy

I’ve got a Tesla model 3 and think it looks great…so long as you don’t look at it head on ?? It really is good fun to drive though and bloody quick

I love my car, so can I have the money instead?

I'd like to give it a full overhaul, as it's a little squeaky and the folding roof leaks a bit in heavy rain. Enough for a new pain job in British Racing Green ss well would be great.

If I had a garage, there would be a 1980's Mercedes W123 Pillarless Coupe in it

If I had a double carriage, there'd be an SL Convertible by the side of it

I'm not really a supercar fan, I'm not a fan of tech or speed

I like comfort and an air of retro class design

My current car cost less than £3k. I am too fond of using kerbs as bumper bowls for me to spend excessive amounts of money on cars.

If I was given that sort of money I'd use it as a deposit on a house.

My current car cost £400. Perfect for dragging up narrow lanes. If I had 10k I would be buying much more exciting things than a car

In truth,

1. Does it go from A-B ?

2. Is it economical to run, tax, insure, fuel ?

3. Is it economical to repair ?

4. Is it inconspicuous and not going to attract attention / thieves ?

5. If yes to all the above, and it's under 10K, we have a winner. Job done.

No shit.

The other morning I came off at the same exit off a roundaboutas a Tesla on my Fzr6, the guy floored it (I assume he did as there was no noise) and I had to red line every gear change upto 90 just to keep pace with him.

It's absolutely mental for what is basically a family car.
