I prefer cooking to baking - with cooking you dont have to stick to precise quantities and add whatever you fancy. Baking requires discipline and sticking to measures and quantities .... not my thing really. Mind I love the smell of baking

I seldom bake, as it involves weighing and measuring the ingredients as I am more a "a bit of this and that" kind of cook.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I used to bake cakes and bread but there was a major down-side as I would end up scoffing the lot. I stick to crumbles now - easier to do, lots of fruit and it requires proper serving and not just picking up a slice on my way past.
