Just found Nuns on the Run on Channel 4 on demand - this was one of my favourite comedies of my teenage years and I must have watched it a dozen times! I'm now enjoying it again after 20 years!

What 1980s or 90s comedies can people recommend? I've already rewatched Coming to America recently What vintage comedies have you recently rediscovered?

Hello Louise 8300, I enjoy your suggestion too.

If you promise to watch Groundhog Day tomorrow then I’ll promise to watch what about Bob.

Let’s say we meet back here at 2100 hrs tomorrow evening and deliver our favourite bill murray line for each other’s enjoyment?

Afterwards we could exchange nudes privately and discuss other classic bill murray moments.

Newry Down

The modern version of the ancient tale of the prince and the pauper exchanging places, also known as Trading Places.

Introductory music was The Marriage of Figaro; with Eddie Murphy, Jamie Lee Curtis, Denholm Elliott, Don Ameche, Frank Oz, et al.

A well made romp, highly entertaining, good production values, good acting from the principal stars, a couple of direct to cameras winks to the audience (in the style of Groucho Marx), etc.

Expertly crafted Christmas movie.

There's a sort of follow up most people haven't seen: The Pope Must Die with Robbie Coltrane. It's worth a look, but not as good as the first.
