Am I missing something blindingly obvious here, but when someone is clearly stating what they're looking for in their profile, how is it possible if they're not prepared to host, or travel to someone who can?

Can maybe only use public transport so mean local only, or use clubs possibly.

Somewhere in Co. Down

Hotel meets close by. Or they can accomadate when they want to but just don't want random people thinking they will all the time.

You could just ask them when you message them.

Or they like to meet local people at their houses, but within a close distance.

Not hosting means not having people in their home so other options include - swingers clubs, hotels, cars and the great outdoors

Not travelling could mean they don’t drive or they're not willing to travel further than a certain milage or time limit.

Best to just ask the person who has it on their profile. I’m sure they’d be happy to explain.

Clubs. Hotels. Pick them up. Or they use public transport but only locally.

Could mean Public transport hotel meets only

Could be a deterrent to stop unwanted messages they want to be able to start conversations

Or they could be a queen

If you want to play you need to pic the queen up and drop her back off afterwards

I never understand this. Although I can’t accommodate or travel when I’m home. When I’m away in a hotel then more than happy to accommodate. I will even pick up the right person

Not meeting.

Only meeting in clubs.

Only meet locally.

Can travel and/or accomodate but doesn't want people thinking they will have strangers over at 3am or travel across the country to meet.

Yes, "can travel" seems to mean "will be in the outer Hebrides in half an hour". No, ta

I recommend reading their profiles to see if they explain. You do read their profiles, don’t you?

Central

I assume it is someone who doesn't meet. If they meet in their garden, I'd consider it the same as accommodating. Likewise, if someone meets at a 3rd party venue, that's not a partners, I'd use accom too.

If there's no profile text that clarifies meet preferences, I skip them.

If it says can accommodate some people will turn up unannounced for a shag, day or night.

If it says can travel some people demand a person should travel from Edinburgh to London for a shag.

In a ball gown because that's how we roll in N. Devon

I can accommodate. But I won't. It still doesn't cut down on the messages I get from men on holiday who think I'd enjoy them stopping off for a quick poke while their wives are on the beach with the kids though.

As for travelling..... I do that. Hundreds and hundreds of miles usually.

Yes. "can't accommodate" means you're not coming to my house.

"Can't travel" means "won't go far".

Usually

There should be an option for "can travel but don't really plan to unless I think you're awesome and then I'll travel across to the other side of the moon to see you"

I think that'd fall flat - because everyone knows that we'll think they're awesome

I don't host or travel outside my home town

It's all very well saying to pick the person up but that's not really a very safe option.

Like I said when we discussed this topic three weeks ago:

I thought the same as OP when I first joined Fab. My local club is within walking distance, but I still have to travel to get there. That left me to conclude that people marked as being unable to do both weren't meeting... but continued observation indicated that these people clearly *do* meet.

In the end, I just accepted that it's like people marked "Not looking for single men" who clearly do meet single men – it's something that people put on their profile for their own reasons because the Fab infrastructure doesn't support more nuanced requirements.

Oh, also - “can accommodate” and “can travel” are searchable options. So putting “cannot” on your profile excludes you from those searches and might reduce the number of idiots being entitled in your inbox.
