Good luck to our beautiful Posh!

Our gorgeous and lovely Posh is feeling super nervous today, as she is singing at a wedding.

Her list of fears includes:

What if she opens her mouth and nothing comes out, what if it is awful and she ruins their day, what if she forget the words, can't hit the notes, fall over, puke, faint?

What if she rips her dress, pours something down it, has a wardrobe malfunction?

So this is partly to wish her good luck, and also to ask you to cast your bets on which (if any) will happen.

*note, it’s tongue in cheek, I absolutely do not want any of these things to happen really, and hope it’s goes super well, beautiful

To be fair, one or two of those scenarios in the OP would only enhance the majesty of what is sure to be a stellar performance

Ready…

I’m sure NSP will knock it out the park, have a good one NSP and enjoy

A wise sage once told me that to overcome nerves you should imagine the audience are all naked? Not sure we should give NSP that image…

I once DJed at a wedding. It’s only after that I realised a high proportion of the records were about blokes being idiots to women .

In a ball gown because that's how we roll in N. Devon

Awwww you!

Thanks Angel and thank you everyone. All set up and so far I've only managed 2 on the list.

I won't be imagining anyone naked today. Well. Not anyone at the wedding anyway

Plus side..... y'all are free from me for most of the day!

Do we ask for requests here or can I just come up and tell you I “recognise you from somewhere?!?” and ask then?

Thank you all so much, thinking of this put a smile on my face as I began and made it through the songs for the ceremony.

Just the reception later now, and the first dance song, which I'm equal parts excited about and dreading, as it's a really tricky one from my own wedding about 150 years ago!

I should point out I'm not actually doing this out of the goodness of my heart, I've been in bands on and off for a long while and used to do this all the time, just had a break pre covid and this is the first one since!

And for those wondering which of the things I have actually managed to do..... so far I (but not publicly) through one of the ceremony songs and tripped over air twice but styled it out beautifully

For Matterhorn..... the best man is definitely safe!

In which case... sounds like you've had your quota of mishaps and smashed it, so just enjoy the rest knowing you can do it

The bride's limelight is very safe. She's an absolute vision in champagne, he looks stunning in a cream suit. They're so, so happy and so incredibly chilled and lovely.

And SJ.... you know that won't be the end of my mishaps. To be fair, I don't think anyone here would expect it to be the end of the mishaps.....

Thank you again lovely people
