Random friend requests

Why do so many on here just send a friend request no message nothing ? Do you think that gets you anywhere ? I find it very rude and leads to me blocking how do you all feel about them ?

I wouldn’t accept them. My friends list is genuinely for friends. I have photos that I don’t want the world to see, if I did they would be public

I've had 3 in the last couple of weeks. One from a fairly new but verified profile and the others from very long standing members.

I haven't accepted any of them because we've never spoken.

We get this often. Makes me laugh when click on their profile and they have zero friend pics. Seems a very one sided arrangement to accept ….

If we are curious we send a message saying that we would want to meet them first and then see what happens. Normally results in us deleting friends request.

Often we will wait till they are offline, accept fab a few photos and then unfriend just so they know they missed us

Im always getting random friend requests. I state on profile I won't respond to them but still get them. I end up blocking as clearly not read my profile x

The long time big bearer of fab the random friend request I just block all them these days can’t read the profile I haven’t got time for you.

Do think the add friend tab needs removing until you’ve exchanged messages both way though

Not bothered really. Yulou don't have to do anything about them, they don't intrude on how you use the site. In fact, if you leave them there they can't send one again (at least not for 30 days, ot that could just be winks).

I rarely even check friend requests unless someone has told me they've sent one and I want to accept it.

I get random friends requests almost daily. I just delete them all. I don't bother wasting my time looking at their profile. Most are from miles away. Some want to look at friends photos but I think partly there is a "Faceb**k mentality where people feel the need to have huge numbers of friends.

My favourite ones are the ones that have read your rules about adding friends, send you a one line message and then a friend request before you’ve even read their message…as if I’d suddenly forget we’ve never talked before
