I do not touch hardcore drugs or go near people who do.

Fab is addictive though

I’m nearly 6 years sober and I can honestly say fab shouldn’t be on that list

I’m very lucky to have been in a situation where stopping the addiction wasn’t hard, but there’s extra things that no one thinks about when you quit, and they were much harder

I’ve never been in the situation so I have absolutely no clue, but I still admire the strength of will and perseverance you must have had, and must still have, to do it. One day at a time x

I believe that addiction is in your DNA and because I understand my addictive personality which I inherited from my mother I can steer clear of all the ones you mentioned op and I’m glad I have but the list of stuff I’ve been addicted to is pathetic at best.

Orange squash

Chocolate

Sex

Fab

All stupid but all real to me and at times they were all I could think about!!!

Kudos to any one that has taken on and beaten some of the big bad addictions.

Tony

Nicotine for me probably. Can honestly say I’ve never even tried any Drugs in my life and I wouldn’t either. Drink I can take or leave, I don’t drink that much really. Fab can be addictive sometimes. Depends what mood I’m in. I’m either on here loads or I buggar off for days.

I got a bit carried away in Vegas though so I can see how gambling could easily become an addiction!

I wouldn't say I'm really addicted to anything.

I'm either self aware enough to know when to stop things before they become damaging or nothing in my life has been potentially damaging enoughto become an addiction. That made more sense in my head

I have an addictive personality and come from a family with addiction, so i 'watch' myself carefully and if in doubt, i just say no.

Also same, I know I have a bit of an addictive personality, so if I like something I’d struggle, hence why I never touched drugs . I’m too scared. I don’t smoke either x alcohol in moderation but I find they work a bit different than drugs x

I've never touched any of them including tobacco and alcohol so I can't compare but fab certainly isn't an addiction. It's part of my self care package.

I keep my eyeballs fit with constant rolling.

I agree. I was on some strong pain killers after having brain surgery and i very easily came off them whereas for others that would be the start of addictiom.

That's a good point. I think even things like social media, including Fab can be a real addiction for some and cause major issues and have a severe impact on your mental health. Maybe it wouldn't be to the extent of drug and alcohol abuse, but it doesn't make it any less real because it is through a screen.
