My parents. They're no longer here and I'd love to know what they think about me now and have their views on all manner of things. They passed over a long time ago but I still miss them and think about them most days.

I can sit on a bench for long periods of time.

Talk to anyone who wants to sit and have a chat there.

I also did it when ive taken the 2 children to the park.

Had loverly chats with the ladies with no desire to meet stare or be a general creep.

It's the anniversary of her passing today and I'm a little tearful.

We spent many evenings sitting in her garden listening to the blackbird on the roof singing away.

We would have a wander around her garden looking at her plants, then sit for a couple of hours with a cup of tea, staring at the sky.

My grandad, he died when I was 10. He taught me to play golf, how to place bets and work out accumulators, how to navigate by the stars, and took me to football amongst a host of other things.

My favourite memories of him are staying at my grandparents and sharing a Canadian Club and Canada Dry (I don’t know if there was whiskey in mine but I like to think so) and when he was driving around town I’d sit on his knee and ‘steer’ the car.

My mum often comments that things I do and say remind her of him. Without doubt it is the most special relationship I’ve ever had

My grandfather (on my dads side) he passed away when I was 5 years old from motor neurone disease so I have one vague memory off him..

Reason I say him is because Ive always wanted to have a discussion with him as an adult man to man...

I always hear good things about him from various family members as he was a well respected and calm tempered man.

He used to work in the ambulance service and then when he and my dads side off the family moved to the UK in the 1970s he became a traffic warden..

I was always interested in speaking with the man who was my grandfather because I wanted to see what he was like to talk and confide in like I do with my own parents and siblings...

Most importantly I wanted to know what that mans secret was to being a calm and collected character kind off person unlike myself from a generation long gone.....

one can only wonder I knew my other grandparents and got on with them for the most part

Glasgow

My grandparents...both paternal and maternal. Started university 21 years ago and spoke with my maternal grandfather (paternal grandfather passed away when I still in high school)on the phone. He was so happy at knowing I made it university...would loved to given all them a hug on the day I graduated.

Would give anything to see them again.
