Dad isn’t a cook so if he had to feed me it was always a raspberry jam sandwich. He always decorated my birthday cakes too

Beef mince stew. I used to hate it as he did it once or twice a week but once it's gone you realise how good it was.

Egg, ham, chips and beans. Whenever my brother and I saw dad gearing up to make dinner we knew there was a 90% chance that's what it was.

Boil in the bag beef, potato croquettes and a tin of peas. Poor sod got that most nights for his dinner when he got home from mega long shifts coz my mum seemed to think that was acceptable.

It's etched in there and it makes me sad and angry at the same time.

In the middle

My dad God love him would feel very pleased with himself if he managed to cook a pie and warm up a tin of taters sometimes he even ventured in to microwaving a jacket spud, after his meal he would always make a big deal about it being the best thing he’d ever had

When my dad was terminally ill we used to let him eat what he wanted when he wanted. It was a miracle if he even wanted anything.

So when I see a Jaffa Cake or Seriously Strong Chedder in a tub (neither of which I eat) I always think of him.

He also used to have the Nescafe mocha chocca. He used to be like to frog from Bod when you would ask him what he would like to drink and say "errrrmmmm mocha chocca"
