Measure under the boobs with a soft measure to get your band size eg 34, then measure over the fullest part of the boob and subtract the band size from this, every inch will give you the cup, 1’’ difference = A, 2’n difference = B and so on

For both, aesthetics before size ... And it is possible at the extremes it's that much harder to get a good shape.... But I've yet to come up with a rule of thumb.
