my laptop broke a few weeks ago and O2 want a credit card 2 prove my age on my phone so will be away for the foreseeable future

You can normally go into the 02 shop with ID to prove your age too

when i first got my dongle i couldnt access adult sites until vodaphone removed the block so had to show id x

all is good turns out laptop just had a bit of dirt on the connectors on the power port, AND o2 verified my age as well
