Hi all

A friend sent me one of those terribly amusing "20 things that people buy when they are having a midlife crisis" images earlier in facebook, and it occurred to me that at some point in the last 30 years I'd bought or rented 13 of them...

I just couldn't afford the others!

So... my question is this:

Money no object, what cool things would you (or did you) buy to help regain that lost youth?

I bought a wheelchair. If money were no object, I'd have a custom fit day chair; custom fit basketball chair and custom fit racing chair all made for me. That's probably a good £10k there....

That's an awesome set of chairs! And money is no object here at least... probably going to need some kind of custom garage too

Nice choice! At over 2200 miles long I'd recommend taking a sexy mechanic with you in the passenger seat if you're planning to do the whole thing!

Around the World ticket, first stop off would be Japan. Then the rest of Asia …all of it. Knowing me I’ll probably stay and eventually get to see some of the rest of the World. Maybe Africa next

Oh no, not a Range Rover *shudders* If you're offering, something with decent boot space, either automatic or flappy paddle gear shift, suitable for the family as well as towing and putting gig equipment in (not necessarily at the same time). My 1.5 turbo diesel probably won't do so well with towing

Bloody idiot in my army days I did all the training because I could and it was easy. First time out the plane I thought “what the **** are you doing”

I streaked my hair blonde, had an eye and nipple piercing and my first tattoo all within a couple of months at 40. It wasn't until a few years later that I realised that on that age I was older than my father who died at 39 from cancer. Go for it....
