Nothing kinky I'm afraid. Has anyone ever done this on the Thames? Read something online about it and thought it looked rather fun (its been a slow year) Have you found anything interesting if yes? Would you do it?

Wirral

In the Thames no, elsewhere yes.

I didn't find anything particularly unusual, late 19th and early 20th century ceramics and glassware mostly.

Rotherham

I've seen a documentary about it. It featured a couple who regularly find dumped stolen goods. Thieves chuck things in the river in waterproof bags then either get caught or just don't re find their haul. The woman said they find really expensive jewellery etc and the real owners rarely claim them back. They make a killing every year doing it.
