Been feeling very low and blue after a short fling with lass.

Suppose I kinda liked her more than than I thought.

Regretabley pretty sure it was not mutual I was just a convenient stop gap. Distraction if you will.

Why is it men are expected to man up and the ladies are never at fault .

Yet had it been the other way round where I did the walking away I,d probably been condemned and as weak ...

And no it was not anyone on fab.

Everyone has emotions OP.

There’s no set rules that men can’t hurt over something ending especially if you were more into it than you thought.

It’s a shame that you feel like that with the certain person and that they just left you like that.

I always find that talking usually helps end things in a good way.

Sorry you’re feeling like that but this is why it’s good to have clear boundaries. If there are clear boundaries in place and one develops feelings or wants more, it’s not the other persons fault that that has happened (as long as there has been no leading on etc).

Obviously I don’t know what your situation was, but of course men have feelings and shouldn’t need to man up, I think society is slowly changing to realise this.

Love, affection, being drawn to somebody does not know genders - it happens to all of us and it is not pleasant when it is or has become one-sided. It damn well hurts.

If one person pulls away, it means they recognised earlier that the relationship is not working for to be working it needs both.

Allow yourself time to talk and also to grieve a bit... you will come through the other side. x

If someone is telling you (even yourself) to ‘man up’ they need to get with the times.

Anyone expecting you to be stoic, when you desperately want to express how your feeling, can just fuck the right off.

I had to reach out recently when I needed help, what surprised me, was how many actually came to my aid.

Don’t suffer alone and don’t be afraid to be emotional. Or as a quote I heard recently that helped me was ‘it’ll all be alright in the end and if it’s not alright it’s not the end’

Have to be honest after up loading my comments I had thought " oh lord" what have I done.

For a whole multitude of reasons we tend to face it alone. Everyone says talk about it. But we seldom do. Crazy I know. I fully understand why mens suicides are 4 or 5 times higher than womens. I'm also on dating sites. One thing that has become apparent after chatting to a decent cross section for over a year, is the massive support mechanism have from their friends. It's a huge thing to have. I'm so envious. We have no one. Sorry to hear about your situation. Unrequited love is bloody awful
