Secret hideaway in the pennines

As I have never been to Chester Zoo, I think that would be there, or back to the Black Country Living Museum

I would like a helicopter ride over Edinburgh, stopping off for a champagne lunch, then onto a steam train which would include a 3 course dinner & beautiful scenery

CHILD FREE, ELSE THERES NO POINT AS THEY WOULD SPOIL EVERY MINUTE

Hmm. Probably a trip on the Tenterden steam railway followed by a boat trip along by Bodiam castle with a picnic lunch on the river bank.

Id get on the train to the west of the country , go for a lovely pub lunch, nice walk stopping off at the pubs then a lovely meal on the night for the last train home, or given time restraints , train to scarborough for pub crawl and walk around. Love scarborough x

A long walk over the Yorkshire moors, then a country pub for food and drinks.

I think right now I'd go for Chester Zoo or lots of walking and eating in the Lake District if I didn't have a child to entertain for the day!

It’s the highest and one of the most remote pubs in England. Be a shame to have you as a designated driver

South

I would have a child free wander around the St Fagans National Museum of History. I love it there, but I like to take my time and dawdle and every time I take my kids they’re like “let’s go, let’s go, let’s go!” onto the next building.

I’d have a mooch in Gwalia Stores for local produce and buy some sweets. Find a lovely bench and sit and watch folk pass by, soaking in (literally!) the wood fire smoke smell and the general sense of Olde Worldy charm of the place.

I find it very comforting and soothing.

The Severn Valley railway was great. Nice chippy in Kiderminster then take the food on the train.

I'd spend the day in Bath with Athena, beautiful city, great food everywhere and many sources of alcohol
