Bit of fun - what clothing brands do you remember that were popular in your younger days but are rarely seen now?

I remember a craze around 'michigan' jackets. Dont see LA Gear shoes much now either!

Hillsborough, NI

I still have my Daniel Poole hoodie kicking about somewhere.

I seem to recall Soviet jeans.

There was quite a good brand called Nike, not sure what happened to them though haha.

Bedford

I have five Harrington's of different colours , market stall has them for £20 a pop. Were rare for a while.

I wasn't into designer gear, so don't miss brand names, I always like to be out of step with fashion trends.

Although I do miss my addidas lookalikey white trainers with four black stripes I had in the 70's.

Trash jeans, Eclipse t-shirts, and a sock hat. Thank you Affleck’s Palace, East-17 and 90’s rave culture.

When I was in my very early teens, I bought a t-shirt from Affleck’s Palace, and it had a huge picture on the front of a Ribena berry smoking a joint, with the word “Ravena” written above it. Well, I just thought I was the coolest, most trendiest steaming shit on the block!! Lol

I remember black jeans with neon pockets with matching neon socks, worn with Eclipse hoodies and sometimes a Vibealite bomber jacket.

There was also Polo Ralph Lauren Harrington jackets worn with Kickers.

Another look was those long Umbro football manager jackets, Umbro trading sweaters and Adidas Gazelles.

It’s all flooding back now. The last things I can recall are Naff Naff rain jackets and Campri Ski coats.

I never got any of the official clobber, I had knock-offs from the market or the bloke selling his stuff off a blanket outside a toilet. I didn’t even have Gola or Hi-Tec trainers, I was forced to wear Nick’s from Jonathan James.
