Playing poker with friends £30 but that is a cheaper way to catch up with friends than getting smashed. And you might win.

You know I have top pair top kicker bet

Someone I got 7-2 harts there’s a hart on the bord I come along turn hart so I throw out a 5x over bet 7-2 is only 1/8th stack left if he calls so he shoves all in

I've lost £500 before. I'm not much of a gambler, but I started with £10 and placed it all on a single bet with relatively poor odds 7/1 then when that won I just kept going all in on 7/1 in play bets.... Was going well until I lost it all

In one bet I've probably not lost more than a fiver of my own money.

I once went to a racecourse with an ex to put an £8k bet on on the rails for a friend, which lost.

I find slot machines fascinating. I stand there looking at all them flash lights, the rolling of the displays, the noises I love them.

But I never play them. I like watching others play.

They win and lose, get angry sometimes.

And I never ask how to play them or what the value of the symbols on the screen are because I know once I start to play.

I'm doomed. I will put every penny into them. And now you can direct bank accounts into them using your phone I would never stop.

Do those arcade 2p machines count? If so, around £2.50. And it was worth that much to keep the kids entertained.

I’m so pleased that gambling has never held the slightest interest for me.

Fruit machines confuse and bore me (and I’ve seen how easily they can strip your money).

I do play the lottery but that is just £50 a month that is well within my means and I’m happy to consider that spend as dead money. I’ve never been tempted even once to buy a scratch card so I know it’s not a gambling addiction.

Most I’ve lost in one go was before I had kids and bills as such, 4k on one hand.

Used to have lock ins with a few of us every Friday at the pub to play poker. It came around though and one Friday of losing the lot could be the next Fridays big win. It was fun when you had no commitments.

Since 2004 (eldest was born and I bought a house)the most in one go is probably £20. Never felt the need to gamble like that again.

I was I vegas once with some trans friends , and my mate was on a date with a rich American guy .. I was the third wheel so to speak .. so the guy gave me about 15000 dollars in those token things to play with on tables to amuse myself ..

Now I have zero interest in gambling , no idea on the games . rules etc I managed to blow through that money in about 30 minutes lol was an eye opener to see how much money rich people blow and play with and it means nothing to them ...

Hindsight I should have probably cashed half the tokens in and played with the rest .. ahhh you live and learn

£200 in a weekend on the dogs. Probably used to go once a month with my girlfriend at the time. We always took £100 for entry drinks and bets. I'd gone with work on the Friday night and lost £100. Sat at home in the Saturday I had a "clever idea". Now I knew my girlfriend was disappointed she had missed out going the night before. So I suggested we go that night so I could win my money back. Sat at home on the Sunday kicking myself for been £200 down.

The most l ever lost in one go ..and it only happened once ..was €50.. On football ..the most l ever won was just €1100 with a €2.40 bet. .a lucky 15 ..they all won ..pure luck ..that's all ..l picked the horses with names that l liked ..it's all about luck .. anyone that thinks any different is delusional..never bet with your eating money..but always eat with your betting money..l always say in a 20 horse race ..you have 1 horse..= 5%...the bookie has the other 19 = 95%..it's simple really...if you have an online account and you are always winning ..they simply close your account...bookies never lose .

Once when being made redundant and getting some time served money back from my company I worked with I treated myself once to £200 pounds of scratch cards with some of it from £10 cards right down to £1 cards once I`d got all the cards I played them all at once lost just over £80 my experience from playing scratch cards is I probabily did quite well but If it had of been my lucky day gambling it would have been then without no doubt especially with the bigger cards but genuinely speaking gamblings a mugs game If you have no will power over what you do thats the Important thing to remember.

I lost £1 on the grand national in about 1984. When the National Lottery started I brought a ticket for a couple of weeks, didn't win anything so decided I didn't want to waste £1 a week.

Have never gambled since. The lottery is a tax for fools.
