If not a vegan sausage roll then one of the vegan salads from the chiller.

That does not equate to quality. Folk will eat owt if it’s cheap, readily available, and there isn’t a better alternative available to hand.

we cant, but im sure every town has one, and better to suport them than a chain isnt it, it will be a sad place if they all go bust because lets face it, they will never be able to compeat on price, but i would rather spend a little more and keep an already city alive.

Problem with big chains is that if we all use them and all the small shops go bust, all youve got left is the chains, and do you think they will still be cheap then?

sorry rant over, but weve lost so many local shops etc recently, covid hasnt helped, but it seems like a race to the bottom, and none of us want that.

I get that shops like gregs offer cheap food and repeatability that a local cant match, but like i said what happens when they have a monopaly, its like amazon, they are killing of shops left right and centre, and yes i do use them as lets face it they are conveniant, but try to by local when i can, i used to run a small buisness and a big player moved nrby and i couldnt compeat so closed, now when i meet my old customers all they do is moan about how bad the service is at the big chain and how expensive they have got, and wish i was still there, i never point out that if they had carried on using me and paying not alot more, then i would still be there, and that was many years ago

I shall share my favourite greggs memory….

I was on a stag do out in Newcastle. Must have got to 3am, there was a greggs still open, queue out the door. Then directly opposite, another fucking greggs still open.

Safe to say I was completely twatted and ended up with a festive bake and many a sausage roll.

Big up to all you geordies!
