Cancer, apparently. A smoker and drinker and proud of it.

Rest in peace. I feel for his family.

King's Crustacean

I feel genuine shock and sadness. I remember about a year ago he looked ill - he had been missing and could only speak with a breathy voice..........

He will be missed - I'm sure.

All deaths are tragic. However, am quite shocked by this for some reason. RIP, one of my favourite comedians. I love how he sometimes couldn't contain his own laughter at himself whilst doing something ridiculous.

Was one of the most naturally funny comedians, had a quick wit and always knew how to tell a funny story.

Losing to Diego maradona in cancun for rear of the year made me piss myself. Will be missed massively, my thoughts are certainly with his wife and children.

I agree with those who've said that he had a naturally funny manner and outlook. Didn't seem like an act at all.

That said, if you've seen the "Carrot in a Box" game from 8 out of 10 Cats, you'll know he was a consummate actor!

Diagonally Parked in a Parallel Universe

I was so sad to hear this today. Funny, funny man. One of the few comedians to have me in tears laughing.

To Rachel Riley, who put on a Viking helmet and false beard, "That's a challenging wank" still has me howling with laughter.
