Hey! We are looking to go visit London for a few nights in October and want to find a really nice hotel that's very close to the center. Is anyone able to recommend somewhere?

Hopefully making it a fun filled adventurous week ??

Do you have a budget?

What do you count as the centre? Where the shops and theatres are? If so, look for hotels near the intersection of Oxford Street and Regent Street, preferably on the south side of it. That's what I would class as central.

Thank you, yeah sorry I should have been a little more detailed. Up to maybe £110-140 a night is reasonable. Obviously if there's any unknown gems then that would be even better.

Try the St Giles hotel , just off Tottenham Court Road or the Z hotel soho. Both ideal locations for where you are headed and could fit your hotel budget

I was going to suggest the Travelodge near Kings Cross station

But on your budget there are better a bit closer to the centre.

I generally stay close to train stations as it’s easier to get home and not piss about on the Tube, when I’m heading home with bags etc..

There’s some great apartment hotels in London, all the comfort of home and around your budget as well.

Also I stayed at the Sunborn which is a 4* hotel that’s a ship in dry dock once. It’s in the heart of Docklands and quite a nice hotel plenty of bars and eateries close by as well. Unfortunately not central London but at least it’s different than the usual type of place.

I’ve always gone for the travel lodge Covent Garden. I’ve paid a lot for London hotels and they’ve been awful. Can’t go wrong with a travel lodge or premier inn. You know they’re going to be pretty clean which is my main thing.

I like to stay at that one as it’s got self check in machine, so in girly mode it’s not a hassle going to reception. Plus due to its location it’ll be around the Ops price range as well. Agree for the cleanliness that’s why I like to stay at them as well.

Another vote for Travelodge. Marginally more expensive than a cab home on a Sunday night which is when they're cheap. Clean and convenient as prev stated.

Seems obvious but booking.com is really useful. Esp for last minute bargains. PM me if you want some insight into interesting places to sightsee on a budget. I'm quite a good guide.

I love the Lehman Locke Hotel by Aldgate East. Pretty quick into all the important areas. The hotel rooms are really spacious and have a sitting room area etc.
