have you got any??? i have tropical fish and thats it now but used to have a cat who was awesome and it destroyed me when he died of old age

I hate how short their lives are.

I had a golden lab. I had him from 8 weeks old until he was 7 and a half years old but we had to rehome him. I made sure he went to an amazing home where they could give him everything we couldn't. I do miss him every day, he was such a silly gentle giant.

Sadly that's the way if you treat pets as part of your family, which you should.

Just think of all the kittens who'd love a life as happy and loved as your cat?

That's the joy of furry family, if you don't right, all your lives are better for it, even when you lose them.

Lost my Yorkie aged 12 to various ailments in April. Best friend I ever had and she saved my life when I had a cardiac event walking her by getting help.

Losing her felt like the end of the world.

Seriously thinking about taking in a rescue dog now

Had to send my 2 cats to live with my son, when I moved last... I managed 2 months without a pet... It was horrible! We now have a mouse called Pablo but he is already an old man... Not looking forward to when that day comes

We have 2 ginger tom’s a bearded dragon and a bazillion “silent” crickets in the skirtingboards

strange how they’re not silent once they’ve escaped

3 cats one is twelve and the other 2 are 1yrs both brothers. Did have a 15yr and six month old Cocker spaniel until February this year. Had to have him euthanized because of his age - heartbreaking

I've kept parrots, cockatiels, lizards, dogs, tropical fish, marine fish.....I've even bred cockatiels and hand reared their young.

Only have a dog now.

My mum has an ancient cat.

Got a rescue dog. A literal one; picked the poor bugger up off the side of the road, as good as dead, couldn't leave him there.

2 Estrela Mountain Dogs and a Rottweiler x Akita.

And around 30 guinea pigs in my resident herd.

I also rescue small pets so often have lots more rabbits, guinea pigs and rodents in.

I work with dogs as well so always got a house full.

I have a Rabbit..my best friend at the moment I also had a female Dog..Jack Russel who I had since the age of 7 weeks and she lived till the grand age of 16 1/2 years..haven't been able to get another since that heartbreaking day

I'll be in tears by the end of this p.m. I had my dog Blaze (looked like milo out of mask) for 16 yrs. 3 days i remember being away from him he was with me through some days i dont care to remember and he used to fetch me my t.v buttons. He died xmas eve just gone and i still think of him most days. i'm thinking of gettin another pup its about time now. and Yes my eyes are watering.
