Does fabbing a photo mean you want to fuck someone? Discuss...

I fabbed a fair few single guy photos this morning. I was bored and nosed through the "all new updates" and fabbed the ones I thought were attractive, fun or interesting, to show my appreciation.

90% of these guys have subsequently inboxed me expecting to set the date for a meet. Despite my profile being very clear I only meet at events, and some of these chaps were at the other end of the country!

Some have got quite nasty when don't share face photos back and tell them I don't want to meet.... I have had the word timewaster chucked at me a few times today!

To me, fabbing a photo is like a thumbs up, I liked your photo. Not that I am inviting you round mine for a shag. What do other people think? Single guys, do you follow up photo fabs with a message? Do you interpreted a fab as sexual interest?? I've been somewhat put off fabbing men's photos after today!

100% agree with your logic

I look at pictures and if I like them regardless of any intention to meet up or do anything a good picture or an exciting picture is still an exciting picture. It doesn’t mean that you want to drop your pants straight away with those people.

Sadly it happens too often and it probably mirrors some peoples experiences in clubs as well particularly sadly with a lot of single guys

This.

I may reach out if someone fabs one of ours if I feel there may be mutual interests, but more often the most I will do is fab some of theirs back if they have any that I like.

I do not take someone fabbing our photos as an invitation to meet.

This is why men don't get many photos fabbed, because many will misinterpret it as interest.

I use your logic, I'm showing appreciation of a photo. But I've had the same experience as you, where guys then message me expecting a meet.

I agree with you. It's just a like of their photo. But I guess guys don't get fabbed much so when they do they'll message as they view it as a potential interest at the very least. It's a catch 22 situation though. Guys don't get fabbed because guys will message thinking it's interest and its puts us women off fabbing. Shame really.

I always though it was a sign of appreciation of a photo. One you found hot, interesting or you just really like. Nothing more, nothing less.

For more interest, a wink was a polite way to say hi I like your profile, have a look at mine and see what you think.

I’ve been on the receiving end of this from bi and gay guys who I have fabbed in the past and it put me off of fabbing pics of guys. I fab photos for the same reason as you. It’s a thumbs up to say I like the photo. I will fab because I find the person attractive or because the photo is fun and interesting, or both.

I am flattered when I receive a fab, and I will always check out the profile of the person who left it, but even if I would like to shag the person sending the fab I do not see them fabbing my picture as an invitation to message them demanding to set up a meet. I may occasionally send something to say thank you for the fab and to try and start a conversation, but it will just be a social message, never straight in with an insistence on meeting.

Reading your post OP, I conducted my own little experiment….. and it has proven you are absolutely correct. I change my message filters so I can be contacted by anyone….. this opening up the flood gates

I posted a new picture, and made some other pictures public such as myself having straight sex.

The result, a few fabs and messages from men enquiring, requesting sex….. the odd demand in there too.

Conclusion, different ways of looking at it…. I may come across as gay ( having straight sex ) , or as I am regularly told this is a ‘swinging site’ for sexual encounters only! Well, it’s all open to interpretation…… I am obviously bi/gay …… because I have sex with woman!

Makes perfect sense!

We FAB pics we love to look at. Definately doesn’t mean there’s anything more to it. I mean some we might want to be more friendly with but we’ll message them.

Now and again we look at who’s FABBED our pics and might notice someone we like the look of but we’d also assume that they’d message if they meant for it to be more than they like that pic.

I've been accused of sending out "mixed messages" because I've fabbed a photo but not replied to a message. Naturally that makes me less likely to respond to a message. Most of the photos I fab (and the photos on fab) are headless. Unless your location is "sleepy hollow" then I dont wish to meet anyone if I've not seen a head shot.

Sad that it can be misconstrued I'll always check who's fabbed and often fab any pics I like in return and then those that I spot on the forums etc Yes, it'd be nice to think their was mutual interest and were it so if anything came from a mutual fabbing and even just chat, then so much the better but... more than happy to accept them for what they are and just an appreciation of a pic and not an invite or foot in the door.

I see a fab from female or male as definitely not an invite to message or wink at them, it’s an appreciation of the photo, be that the content, the style or the quality of said image..

Nope, it just means I appreciate the picture. I might not even be in to the thing in the picture, I just appreciate other people doing the things that they enjoy.

"

It does not mean you want to fuck, people have no right to think that just because your on a swingers site. By the I have fabbed your pics there very nice and sexy

I must admit, I’m occasionally guilty of the ‘thanks for the fab’ messages. It tends to be to those whom profile I have been keeping an eye on though, in an attempt to open dialogue.

But more often than not I just take the ego boost and run with it. It’s always nice to have your photos fabbed!

I’ve had similar, fabbed gorgeous pictures to be hurled abuse at because I’m not interested in them following their amazing message of “hi” accompanied by a cock pic.

It might do it for some women, but not for me!

A “fab” is a nice compliment to get, to me, it means someone has taken the time to look at your photo and like it… which helps the self esteem and confidence and you produce better photos on the back of it..win win..

Shame it’s taken out of context and used to instigate something entirely different. Maybe it’s worth looking at a profile before a fab? If people seem more genuine then it might help?

No - fabbing a picture (and I do not only fab men's pictures) means just that I like the picture because it depicts a beautiful, interesting person or it demonstrates visual literacy or it is just a good photo to look at and enjoy.

It does not mean anything else in my books - and by and large I have not had any issues as a result of my fabbing.

I fab photos I like. It could be the person, their smile, their body or just because it's a dirty pic lol. Either way I fab it as a compliment.

If someone fabs a pic of mine (not that I have many), I assume they've read my profile and would've messaged me if they were interested, so I take the fab as a compliment and carry on with my day

I only fab photo’s that are on my friends, hotlist. If searching etc. Then once read profile and yes in age range etc. I will fab some photo’s of that profile. Then send a wink. Sometimes send message. My profile is open to all. Viewers are over 90% male .

Yeah, if someone’s taken the time to do something different, that can warrant a fab

I Fab pics if I like them and that being the case, I’d probably be happy to engage in something physical unless we really didn’t get on or didn’t share common sexual interests (I don’t just Fab peeps with the same tastes as me).

But I don’t normally follow up a Fab with a message.

"

This exactly .

I now only fab pics of people I know , people I’d like to get to know or when taking part in a Fabathon .

No more Fabbing for just the appreciation of a nice pic.

Think I am going the same way!

Now off to remove all this mornings fabs and block the gobshites who are having tantrums that I have not leapt in my car to drive up to Newcastle / Preston / Wales etc to bang their brains out "

What’s wrong with Preston? We could have had lunch. There’d be no shagging though I only like tinky winkies

It's purely a .

Why so many guys see it as something different to what happens on any other social media/networking type site boggles the mind.

It's the same reason so many women view profiles in stealth. Even on couples profiles I've been part of if we happened to fab a pic or came up on their looked@me list we'd get a message almost instantly if they were online, or first thing the next time they were.

Unfortunately, with a lot of guys on here there is little difference between fabbing their pic and dropping a chip within eyesight of a seagull!

IMO

Fab pick = I like your pic and no more

Wink = There’s something about you I like. If interested consider sending a message

Message = Depends what it says obviously

BJ = Result

Sometimes my quim takes over and I'll fab photos so they'll see my name pop up and inevitably end up balls deep in me.

As a single guy I don't get an awful lot of fabs. I have always assumed that those that fab do so for the same reason I do, which seems to align with yours. A fab = I like your face/body or I like your underwear or I think the pose is interesting and not "I want to fuck you now, so make it happen".

Once again as a single male I feel I need to apologise to everyone else for the actions of some bellends.

I was scrolling through the updates couple days ago and unintentionally looked at a guys profile. Within 2 mins had a message say when we fucking ? I apologised and said sorry to far away , he sent a very nasty reply saying timewasting slag ?? Baffles me it really does it why they automatically thinks it's the green light to a meet

I fab friends pictures because friends

When I'm reading the forums, I sometimes look at the profiles and photos of people that make interesting points or just strike me as nice people. I then fab pictures if they are well composed, or good looking folk, or nicely presented, or seem to be enjoying life. I don't particularly enjoy the more graphic pictures and seldom fab those. Pictures of ladies I often fab if I think their dresses or lingerie are fabulous and wish that they belonged to me

Fabbing a photo is simply a convenient way of showing appreciation, it's not (for me) any expectation to meet or even requiring a response.

Strange how some folk think a wink or response means anything else.

Only from forum threads, I got the impression some thought they were entitled to smut chat.

Maybe I had more filters on than you at the time, so eliminated those contacting me after fabbing.

Not a great experience for you though, totally understand.

I fab pictures that I like that stand out in a special way which also gives the other person acknowledgement they are doing something right which also helps them doing more along those lines and even complement them via a message to say so if it leads further then we're both to blame but I respect people's wishes.

I Fab a photo becuas I like it or because it has an artistic element to or I find something in attractive (yeah even a cock!). However, it does not mean its an immediate and open invite to meet up for a shag. Ha hah then I'd soon then be blocking them!
