And tomorrow will be Monday.

And I will work for 5 days.

And then it will be Saturday.

And then it will be Sunday again.

Ad infinitum.

Why are we here... Just to suffer

Today is Sunday and my social meet was cancelled. Yesterday was Saturday and my social meet blocked me out of the blue. I'm beginning to wonder why I stay.

Don't worry. We can retire when we're 68.

Why go to the hassle of creating a Universe only to have 2 days off out of 7 ?

Nope, state pension age, I retired two years ago, it ain't about age it's about affordability. Anyone without additional pension can't retire on state pension alone

Thanks for reminding me, Amber! I have to trek into the Mancunia and see if the IT gods will consent to unblocking my fucking work account. I have no access to anything to be able to work

I'm here to make people laugh.

If my jokes don't succeed then I'll get naked - let's see who'll be laughing then.

OP just try find one positive thing each day to make it different and look forward to... whether it just be a slice of cake on Tuesday, a take away coffee on Wednesday, a planned call to someone close another day...

Land of the Long White Cloud

It is Monday here in NZ already.

make the most of your weekend.

Life can be mundane at times, I try to find something every day to be thankful for, howver small it may be.

I will b just retiring on state pension! For sure less than 2 years now just! When I'm 66 beginning of july! I have no other pension or savings! I shall cut my cloth accordingly! My old dad took early retirement at 60 good job he did as died at 68 so had those years doing what he wanted to do! I sure dont want to be getting up at 2 45 for work any longer than I have 2! Cant wait to retire x

There is no reason - none whatsoever. That can seem terrible nihilistic but I prefer to see it as freeing.

I'm not here to prove to some deity that I'm a good little boy, I'm not here because I asked to be, I'm not here because in some past life I behaved in a certain way, I just exist - or at least for a few years a bit of matter is able to be self aware. If I were to cease to exist that's not a problem (at least for me, others might be a little upset).

On the whole, as existences go I am incredibly lucky. I don't live in Kabul or Darfur or the Yemen, I have a fit healthy body and there is a lot of things in my life I enjoy. Work sometimes feels like too much but I can pop downstairs and make a coffee whenever I want, I don't have to walk to a hole in the ground to get a drink or grub away in some poorly dug mineshaft to make a living. I don't have to carry an endless line of children in my body only to watch them die of disease or suffer malnutrition and war.

So I have no belief that my existence has any meaning but I am able to find much about it that makes it fun.

Mr
