So when it comes to a profile being verified, picture or meet, do people avoid those that aren’t verified?

How long does a profile have to be active before you think it should be verified in some way?

Are verifications something that people make decisions on as to whether to find out more?

Personally I avoid profiles who haven't been verified. I don't read too much into what people say on verifications as we all have different experiences with people. But they do show if someone is reliable, turns up and reassurance they are who they say they are

I've met people who haven't been verified before, but I'm cautious because you never know if they'll show up or not.

Verifications do help in my opinion - they show someone is genuine and that someone else has actually met them and that they showed up. There are so many fantasists on this site with no intention of meeting, but they are often verified by webcam, so I'm even a little cautious of them.

Wouldn't stop me meeting them though, if we connected and I was looking to meet.

Same here, its scarily easy to put a profile up on fab and even if you are site photo verified you don't have to show your face. No one ever checks email addresses so for me I feel safer meeting people that have been meet verified by a member.

I'm not put off by it. I wasn't verified for over a year and I'm real yet I've seen so many fake profiles with multiple meet verifications. It's easy to prove you're genuine when you're interested in someone so no verifications aren't a big deal to me.

I am not verified through choice

I have met previously, but this time re-joined mid pandemic and it seemed unfair to ask previous meets to verify me

I could have, but I didn't

I personally don't like verifications that start with things like 'I met this guy when dinosaurs roamed the planet...'

So, I'll leave it until I am ready and able to meet again

If that discounts me from meeting others, that's cool

They need to be comfortable and confident in how they use the site and if a little green tick gives (an element of) that to them, then all's good

I've met unverified men in the past and would again if they met what I was looking for and there was attraction. I know it's hard for men to get verified.

They are not the be all and end all to me, I tend to get to know people and then get a good idea of them.

In fact the only time I was stood up, was by a verified man!

But that’s what I am saying, a photo verify can be done almost upon profile set up so what is it ThaTs stops people? Just curious.

I have often wondered how different people look in their photo veri pics compared to how their public pics represent them here

I imagine there is a definite disparity

I'm more likely to be put off meeting someone by who they have been verified by rather than whether or not they have any.

In saying that though I don't meet just for the sake of it and prefer to get to know people first and that is usually a better indicator of compatibility than a verification from someone else.

I have met 2 guys who weren't verified. I had started chatting to them through the forums and then in PM. They came across well so I met them for lunch and gave them their first verification. We all started out here unverified and Sometimes you just know and will give people a chance. I had no regrets.

I know a few women who have been here for years and are still not photo verified but are totally genuine.

I’ve no interest in verifications at all. I don’t read them and have no interest in receiving. If I’m interested in a person I’ll chat and get to know them as I would in the real world...I don’t ask for references there

...also I keep in mind people are different with other people one persons experience isn’t the same as another’s.

Also it’s kinda bit trip advisor ish

I only got photo verified to apply to be a picture moderator. I didn't get the job lol

Just didn't see it as something I needed to do at the time.
