Bad smell

Anyone ever met someone and they just smell horrible the type that don't realise it.

The type that live alone, but really they live with the ghost of shitmas past presence in every room.

Just had to get to the shops for a few drinks and it was so strong.

I'm not a mean person but that has to be the worst thing ever.

‘The ghost of shitmas past’ haha!

I went to the zoo on Thursday with my teenage son and we had the same conversation about somebody in the Komodo dragon house! Costs virtually nothing to be clean!

Had a girl like this at school and at an office I used to work at. Office one was pulled up on it several times and never changed. The boss couldn't sack her for it either (idk if there was perhaps a medical reason for it...my inclination was probably not). I think it's only respectful to others to keep your hygiene in check.

I worked with a guy who smelled that bad it burned the inside of your nose. You could smell him even when he wasn't there. Felt sorry for him

Yes, at the vaccine clinic. I have been a little surprised at the dishevelment and body odour of some people attending, I'll be honest. I've also had to speak to a member of staff about a similar issue in the past.

My dad smells bad. He's 94, has I believe the start of dementia and doesn't change his clothes even when they're filthy.

Yes, I have begged and pleaded with him to change

It's funny how people go straight to 'they just don't wash'. You don't know what their living conditions are like, what's going on in their lives or if anyone has ever taken care of them. I know its unpleasant for others to smell it but we don't see the bigger picture sometimes.

Some people don't wash and they don't change their clothes. Sometimes it's mental health problems other times they just aren't aware.

I worked with a woman whose b.o. was so bad I had to breathe through my mouth if I stood next to her. She was oblivious. We asked our boss to have a quiet word

About 4 cans.

Guys I know it can be deeper, truth is it happens on life like lots of things.

You could be the biggest arsehole on the planet and the reason for it is abuse, bad upbringing.

If someone is an arsehole to you people vent.

Could easily be a person with or without mental health

I used to work with an horrendous whiffer- big fat woman who looked like she applied makeup with a trowel and always stunk of BO, covered up with gallons of cheap perfume, which smelt as bad as the BO.

You knew when she was on shift before you saw her as it hung in the air like a fog.

She was a grade A nosey, interfering busybody too, so generally as popular as a turd in a swimming pool with the rest of the tight knit team

Smell coffee beans. They put them out in candle shops for this reason. The strong smell resets your nose.

I can't say I ever met someone who smelled bad if I am honest except.one guy in Liverpool and it was his breath, and he had been drinking all day so maybe got sick, or something but it's the only time I thought someone smelled bad.

Not washing shouldn't cause such a smell. People like hippies etc usually smell just fine and dandy. They don't smell like a fragrances soap but also don't smell bad. Some clothes you're not supposed to wash either. Levi say you're not supposed to wash jeans ever.

I think only really boxer shorts could make such a smell, or some medical condition.

But maybe some people are just more sensitive to some smells. I dunno

"Sorry if this is a stupid question, but does anyone have any advice on how to get rid of a bad smell that seems to be clinging to my nostrils?

Smell coffee beans. They put them out in candle shops for this reason. The strong smell resets your nose."

Thank you. I have some. Should I leave them whole or grind them! I currently have dishes of various things around the flat...vinegar, fresh lemon juice. Tried vicks in my nostrils. Not working Very sadly it's the worst smell a person can ever experience

Whenever I have tried it, it's been coffee beans, but whichever smells stronger to you should work. If it doesn't work then it's probably gonna drive you insane.

I've ground some and left some whole. Fingers crossed it works.

One of my oldest friends from school has a medical condition that makes him smell.

He’s a super-fit mountaineer, cyclist etc, with not an ounce of fat on him. He’s always fastidious about changing his clothes and showering. It makes no difference - he steps out the showee and he still has that unusual smell.

Also, lots of medicstions can cause profuse sweating.

Please try to remember there are people who have this, and similar situations.

"Anyone ever met someone and they just smell horrible the type that don't realise it.

The type that live alone, but really they live with the ghost of shitmas past presence in every room.

Just had to get to the shops for a few drinks and it was so strong.

I'm not a mean person but that has to be the worst thing ever. "

Just get your pressure washer out.
